Prince Nuku-known persistent violence against the East India Company who wanted control of the spices in the Moluccas. He is the son of Sultan Jamaludin from Tidore. 

Since the Portuguese defeat against the Netherlands in order to maintain storage of spices in the Moluccas, the Dutch began to strengthen its position by forming joint venture in the East India trade, or VOC (1602). When the East India Company to expand its trading business to the north Moluccas, there was a dispute with the Sultan Tidore, because the business is harmful VOC Sultan rights as local authorities. According to Van den Bosch Planting force was based on customary law which states that: if any power in any region, has a land and its inhabitants. Compulsory provisions as follows:


- The farmers have to plant 1 / 5 of the land with plants that sell on world markets such as coffee, sugar, indigo, and tobacco.
- The results of the plant must be sold to the government at a price the government set
- The land is free from tax
- The farmers told to work harder for the plants to the government than for rice planting
- Those who do not have land to work 65 days a year at the government gardens
- Damage to plants that are not caused by the fault of the farmers is the responsibility of government.

Java History (The History of Java) is a book written by Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles and was published in 1817. In this book, Raffles, who ruled as Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies in the years 1811-1816 to write about the state of the population on the island of Java, customs, geographical situation, agriculture systems, trading systems, languages and religions in the island of Java on time.  

This book was published in two bundle (Volume I: 479 pages, and Volume II: 291 pages, with many illustrated pages) and reprinted in 1965 by Oxford University Press in London.

In one chapter of this book, Raffles tells about traditional ceremonies conducted in welcoming the birth of a baby, in marriage, and the usual funeral rites performed since ancient times up to at that time. This book also contains about salvation and celebration ceremony featuring traditional dances and puppet shows in the 19th century and earlier.
 
This book is a different book with Chronicle books Tanah Jawi strips written by Braja at the time of the Sunan Pakubuwono III reign in Surakarta.
